Cutest Halloween!

Hello everyone! 

Did you know there are less than two weeks until Halloween?! It is fast approaching so I have been at it again making Halloween projects! And I wanted to join with Stamping Through the Catalog as they feature the Cutest Halloween Stamp Set! I have been having so much fun with this set-anyone who follows me here or on Instagram knows that I have created quite a few projects with it! And I am still loving it! 

In fact, my first project is a Halloween card with a challenge that I came up with myself! I challenged myself to use ALL of the stamps in the set on one card! This is something I have never done before, and it was really fun to find ways to use every. single. stamp. Have a look! 

This was definitely a challenge, but so do-able! Can you find all of the stamps in this card? It's kind of like an I-Spy thing! Here are some hints:  I used several of the sentiments, the candy corn and dot stamps for my background, and there is also one sentiment inside the card. The dot stamp was also perfect for cheeks on the little characters!  Also, don't you think the cute cat face needs a body sometimes? I used the pumpkin punch shape for the body and the ghost punch shape for the tale!

After the card was finished, I made some quick and easy little treat boxes for some neighbors!

These little boxes came together in no time at all! I hope you enjoyed these festive projects today! Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage Week #199

  

Hi all! Welcome to our Monday Montage Hop today! We are almost to 200 blog hops! I can't believe it! It is an honor and a privilege to hop with these amazing ladies! 

Today I am sharing another Halloween trifecta of fun!!! I have three projects for you, all created with the Cute Halloween Suite featuring the Cutest Halloween Bundle-and it is just the cutest!!! I am in love with the darling pumpkins, ghosts, skulls and bats in this darling suite! The Black and White Gingham ribbon is the best! And the Cute Halloween 6x6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) is SO great!

See what I mean?!! So cute, right? I could make projects all day long with this suite-wait, I did!! Lol, ok, not all day. These projects were really quick to make because the images on the DSP are sized perfectly for the Halloween Punch that is part of the Suite! Just punch and go! There isn't a skull on the punch, but Mr. Skeleton takes no time at all to cut out! Here are some close-ups of the cards!

Look at these cute little faces-all of them were punched/cut straight from the DSP! Easy Peasy!

This card is a simple fun fold card that is my go-to for showcasing amazing DSP! Sometimes I just want to include all of the prints on a card-and this super easy layout allows me to show multiple prints! The focal point of the card is a belly band that slides off of the card to open it. Here is what the card looks like on the inside!

I just had to add Mr. Skeleton one more time! And that white strip of cardstock is for a message to the recipient, of course.

Halloween Birthday Card!

Hello and happy Saturday!! Today I decided to participate in the Global Design Project weekly challenge! My daughter has a birthday in October and she loves Halloween and all things spooky, so I thought I'd make her birthday card for this challenge! 

For this card I'm going for the something old, something new theme. The witch hat, leaves and pumpkins are from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin (something old) and the trees, moon and stars are from the Frightfully Cute Bundle (something new in the July-August Mini Catalog). Isn't it so fun to mix old and new sometimes? The cloud is from the Give It a Whirl Die Set, I just trimmed off the stitches, and the sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach Stamp Set. Stampin' Blends were perfect for coloring my stamped images!

Here is the original project from the Global Design Project Challenge.

The challenge is to case the designer. I flipped the layout to landscape and then added my design elements to opposite corners like in the original project.  And while my card looks nothing like the cased project, it started the wheels turning for a cool layout and I am really happy with the result! It was a fun challenge!

Monday Montage Week #198

 

Hello! Thank you for joining us for our Monday Montage Blog Hop! I am so excited for today's hop! Fall is finally here and so is spooky season! Halloween is such a fun holiday and a family favorite! I really enjoy decorating and making fun, cute projects. I don't love the gruesome and scary parts of Halloween,  but I'm all about pumpkins,  black cats and witch hats! In the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog there are some really great Halloween products that are right up my alley! The Frightfully Cute Bundle is the first bundle I ordered! Here a few projects that were so fun to make!

I should've centered them in the picture a little better! Isn't this bundle fun?!! And the tombstone treat boxes are so cute! Here are some closeups!

Here are some of my tips for these projects: first come up with one focal point for your sentiments, then change it up just a bit for each project.  Second,  the thin label Die from the Frightful Tags Dies makes great tombstones and borders for the card! Third, you can color the darling Black & White Gingham Ribbon with Stampin' Blends! Fourth, you can cut the center of of the Tombstone Treat Boxes with the die of your choice and even make it into a shaker treat box!

Monday Montage Week #196

 

Happy Monday everyone! Thanks for joining us for another fun Monday Montage Blog Hop! School is in session and that means I should have more time to stamp, right? Well, not so much. We have had family in town and I have several projects in full swing right now. So, I am sharing birthday cards for my August birthday kids. My oldest daughter and my only son were born in August, so I made cards for both of them and never shared them! I figure this is the perfect time!

My son's birthday is first, so here is his card! I bet you can't guess what he got for his birthday 😃! I thought it would be fun to make an X-box controller card to go along with the X-box. It might be a little hard to see because it is white on white, sorry about that! First, I drew the shape of the controller on Basic White Cardstock and then cut it out with Paper Snips. Using a sponge dauber, I sponged the edges with Gray Ganite Classic Ink so that the controller would stand out against the background. Basic Black Cardstock, the largest Circle Die from the Layering Circles Dies and the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder was all it took to make the background look like the actual X-Box itself. I used a variety of circle punches that I have on hand (all retired) to make the buttons and the little X-box insignia was traced and cut out. All in all, I am happy with the way it turned out and he was happy too!

My oldest daughter loves the beach. We all do in my family, but she really LOVES the beach. She lived in Hawaii last semester because she could do online school, so why not? And she had the best time. She went to the beach everyday and enjoyed every minute of it! So, I thought the Friends are Like Seashells Stamp Set would be perfect for her birthday card! And I was right, she loved it! Torn cardstock is perfect for the water and the sand, and the large shape stamp for adding color to the shells was a fun way to add dimension to the water! The seaweed is from the Smooth Sailing Dies and the Linen Thread is my go-to for bows!

Monday Montage Week #195

 

Hello and thank you for joining us today for our Monday Montage Blog Hop! Summer is winding down and school is about to start! A lot has been happening around here including camping trips, back to school shopping and guests visiting! Time to stamp is hard to come by right now, but I squeezed in some time to make a card for my cutie niece! She is going to California to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She's staying an adventure and I wanted to make her a card to wish her well! Have a look!

The Stamp Set was just right for her card! And don't you just love the sentiment?! So perfect. Since she is going to California, the card clearly needed a palm tree! So I used one of the darling palm trees from the Share a Smile Kit. The flowers are from the Hippo Happiness Dies and I used the Suede Ribbon on my "luggage tag" sentiment. I hope she loved her card as much as I loved making it!
