Monday Montage Week #121

Hello everyone! It's Monday Montage time! I have some Thank You cards to share with you that I made for some wonderful neighbors. They brought over dinner and flowers when my 16 year old daughter was very ill last week. I wanted to make them each a special card to let them know how much we love and appreciate them! And the Beautiful Bouquet and matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits were perfect for the job!

The pictures don't do these cards justice! They are colorful and the flowers just pop right off of the white background.
Here is a close up of the first card I made:

I sponged all the edges of the leaves and flowers to add some dimension. I also sponged some Old Olive Ink on top of the vellum cardstock sprigs to give them some color!
Here is the second card:
Ok, true confessions time! I was going to do the second card just like the first card, but when I stamped the sentiment onto the card front, the ink smeared just a tad. I covered it up with a new sentiment punched out with the Pretty Label Punch! Which card do you like best?

Monday Montage Week #120

Happy Monday Montage everyone! I am back after missing a couple of hops due to summer craziness! I really am excited to be hopping with these wonderful ladies today! And I have a fun summer card to share with you! This card could be used for many different occasions, just by changing the sentiment!
I love how the butterfly looks like stained glass! To achieve this, I stamped the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Vellum Cardstock using my Stamparatus. I wanted to be able to stamp the image multiple times to get a nice dark image. Then, since I didn't have Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, I sprinkled the image with the Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and used the Heat Tool to emboss it. Next, I colored the image in with the Pumpkin Pie Light and Dark Stampin' Blends. When it was all finished, I fussy cut the butterfly.
Here is a close up:
I also used the Old Olive Light Stampin' Blends to color some of the leaves on the embossed background panel to add dimension. I love how the background turned out!
