Monday Montage Week #216

Do you struggle with masculine cards? The struggle is real for me sometimes! So today, for the Monday Montage Blog Hop, I am featuring some masculine cards that can be made for any occasion. I made them for my dad and father -in-law for Father's Day, but these cards would be perfect for birthdays, retirement, thinking of you etc!

Aren't these cards so great?! The Rugged Icon Dies are wonderful for masculine cards! I love them! The mountain scene die is to "die" for!!!

Here is a close-up of the card I made for my dad:

Both cards have the same basic layout, but I wanted to add the fishing pole die to my dad's card because fishing is his favorite hobby. Don't you love the little rainbow trout?

And here is a close-up of the card I made for my father-in-law:

On both cards I used the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and tore the edges of the cardstock. I inked it all up with a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede Ink to make the woodgrain standout. The sentiment is from the He's All That Stamp Set-another great set for masculine cards!

Monday Montage Week #215

Hello Monday Montage Blog Hoppers!! Thank you for being here! Can you believe the January-June Mini Catalog is coming to an end? It's always is difficult when awesome products retire, and this time is no different. I am excited for the fantastic new products, but sad to see some go. One of the bundles I will miss is the Cactus Cuties Stamp Set and coordinating punch. So, I decided to give them a last hurrah! And this is what I came up with!

Isn't this a darling bundle? I absolutely love it! The cute little cacti and pots are so adorable!

Here is a close-up of the first card!

I used the two little sprig stamps to create the background on Petal Pink Cardstock, and the round pot image to create the stripes on the Mint Macaron strip of cardstock. The bow is made by taking apart the threads of the white Bakers Twin and then tying a bow. It gives it a fun, different look!

And here is a close-up of the little notecard.

This simple, little card came together really quickly and would be a perfect tag or note for a gift.

And here is a bonus project! Did anyone else see strawberries in this bundle?

What do you think of the strawberries? While I was making the first two cards, I kept thinking that the bundle could be used to make some strawberries, so I whipped up this little note! I think it works! Do you agree? It's always fun to find unexpected ways to use these fantastic products! It makes them more versatile!
