Gnomes for all Seasons-Summer Gnomies!

Hello friends! Did you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving? I hope so! And I hope you are enjoying lots of leftovers! I think that is one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving!

Today I have one more Gnomes for all Seasons card for you-my Summer version. I think this one might be my favorite! Mostly because I love little red and white mushrooms with spots! And I figured out how to make some really cute ones! But before I tell you how, here is a look at the card!

I wanted this card to be bright and sunny! So, first I cut a rectangle mask and adhered it with Washi Tape on the back of my Whisper White Card front. I used Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pads and sponged on the colors for the background, with Crumb Cake for the path.
The gnomes were colored with Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. I used the Ivory Blends for the skin and Flirty Flamingo for the noses. The trunk was colored with Bronze, and Soft Suede Blends with Daffodil Delight for the lights and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.
The mushrooms were created with the Menagerie Dies!! Aren't they the cutest? And so bright and fun. I used the beaver tail die for the big mushroom, and one of the nose pieces for the small mushrooms. I used the present die for the big stem and the single flowerdie (just the stem) for the little mushrooms. The spots are the circles left over from the flower garland die! It's so fun to create new things from dies!

I hope you like this happy summer card! It makes me smile!

Gnomes for all Seasons-Spring Card!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I hope you all have a wonderful day with good food and family! Today I am sharing my Spring version of the Gnomes for all Seasons! This one was a fun card to make!

The stamp set with all of these adorable gnomes is called Gnome for the Holidays. It is such a fun Christmas Set, but there is so much potential for other occasions! Here are a few instructions for making this card!

I used a large circle from the Layering Circles Dies to cut a circle into a scrap piece of paper measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches to create a mask. Using Washi tape, secure the the mask to the back of  a 4 x 5 1/4 inch piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Use Sponge Daubers to create the background, Granny Apple Green Ink for the grass, Crumb Cake for the path and Balmy Blue for the sky. I also sponged some  Granny Apple Green very lightly where the leaves of the tree would be. Remove the mask.

The flowers framing the circle are from the Menagerie Dies colored with Stampin' Blends, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. Save some of the punched out petals and circles from the die! I used them to create the flowers on the girl gnome's hat and apron!

I also used Stampin' Blends to color in the gnomes. I wanted a soft look for spring so I used Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends, pool party, Highland heather, Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron. Ivory for the skin and Flirty Flamingo for the nose and cheeks! I created a new hat For the girl gnome and cut them both out with Paper Snips. The trunk is colored with Soft Suede Stampin' Blends And the lights are colored with So Safron.

The sentiment was created using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. First I colored in 'you're' and then stamped it. After cleaning off the stamp, I inked colored in 'like gnome other' then stamped that on, being careful to line it up correctly.

There you have it! Tune in on Friday for the Summer gnome card!

Now go have some more pumpkin pie!

Gnomes for all Seasons-Winter Gnomes!!

Hi everyone!

I am back with day #2 of Gnomes for all Seasons! And today I am sharing my Winter Gnomes card with you! This card was made like the set was meant to be used, no masking! And oh, so cute!

For the path on this card I used a sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink and dabbed very lightly.
I used Stampin' Blends to color in everything, and then cut out the gnomes with my trusty Paper Snips.
The darling tags are in the Little Treat Box Dies. I wanted both ends of the tag to be scalloped, so after cutting the tags, I inserted it back into the die so the scallop edge could cut the straight side.
Stampin' Write Markers did the trick for a multi colored sentiment. All you have to do is color directly onto the stamp, huff on it to moisten it and stamp! I always use my Stamparatus so I can stamp the image multiple times to make sure it is dark and crisp!
I used Shimmery Crystal Effects to outline the bark on the tree to make it look a little frozen and the Real Red Breaded Linen Trim and a Jingle Bell were perfect for the finishing touches!
I hope you enjoyed today's gnome card! Check back tomorrow for the spring version!

Have a great day!
