Monday Montage Week #149

Happy Monday Montage Blog Hop! Thank you for joining us today! Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the cooler weather, sweaters and all things pumpkin. And I love creating fall and Halloween projects! I had so much fun using the Monster Bash Suite to create these matching projects!

I love the product coordination in the suite that makes creating so easy! I made the wreath first, then decided to make a matching banner and then a card for gifting! And if you decide to keep the projects, the card can be put in a frame for another perfectly coordinated piece of decor!
Here are some closeups!

Monday Montage Week #148

Hello! We're so glad you are joining us today for our Monday Montage Blog Hop!
It's that time of year when the temperatures are cooler and the leaves are changing! I love fall!! And everything that goes with it! And I love making Halloween projects!! So without further ado, here are my first projects of Halloween!

I used the Monster Bash Suite on these projects! When I saw the suite in the Holiday Catalog, I knew right away that I would order the whole suite-I couldn't resist the all the darling products that coordinate so perfectly!

I wanted the coffin to be flat for the card, so I traced the shape from the Coffin Treat Boxes twice onto Basic Black Cardstock, and once onto Real Red Cardstock (which I cut down a bit so it would look like the lining for the coffin.

I adhered the top of the coffin to the base of the coffin on one edge with Tear & Tape Adhesive so that the coffin could open! So, of course a tiny bat needed to spring out when the coffin was opened!!

And here is a Coffin Treat Box all decorated and ready for a spooky treat!!

Monday Montage Week #146

Welcome to Monday Montage! Thank you for being with us as we hop! I love hopping with these talented ladies and I hope you will enjoy the projects we have for you today!
Here I am using the Best Catch and Waterfront Stamp Sets again on this card for my dad. Don't they go so well together? And when I saw the Best Catch Stamp Set for the first time, I thought of my dad. He LOVES fishing! I remember many a fishing trip with my dad when I was a little girl. So, this set was a must have for me and I am so glad I can use it to make a card for my wonderful father.

I sponged a lot on this card! That is my favorite technique for scenery backgrounds. And I wanted smaller trees for my lake scene, so I just inked the tops of the trees instead of inking the whole tree stamp!! And voila! smaller trees!

Monday Montage Week #145

Hello and welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! Thank you so much for taking the time to hop along with us!
Is it hot where you are? We are still having some hot days this summer, but summer is winding down. School starts next week for my kiddos, so we need to make this week count! So, in honor of the last week of summer, here is a mermaid card that I made for my daughter's birthday!

I had the idea in my mind for this card before I even took out the supplies to make it. I wanted the card to look like the sun was shining through the water. It took several attempts (4 to be exact) to get the effect that I wanted, but I am so happy with the way it turned out! I will post a tutorial soon so check back to see how I made it!

Monday Montage Week #143

Hello Monday Montage hoppers!
I am so glad you are here with us today! I missed a couple of hops for various reasons and I am so glad to be back!
Are you all loving the new Annual Catalog? There are so many suites and sets that I just adore!!! And one of them is featured in the card I have to share with you today!

This card features products from one of my very favorite suites-the Come Sail Away suite. Everything in this suite reminds me of an ocean side vacation! And it is perfect for everyone! You can make cards for all of the people on your list with this amazing set of products, but it makes especially nice masculine cards-don't  you agree?

There were only a couple of products that I used that weren't in the suit. The "For You" sentiment was from the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin, and the scalloped die is in the Seasonals Layers dies set. I used the scalloped die to cut strips from Balmy Blue and Pool Party Cardstock and sponged everything with Balmy Blue ink to get the multi-colored look.

Now I am wishing I could go sailing!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm sure you don't want to miss out on any of the projects my friends have for you  so keep on hopping! Monday Montage Week #140

Hello and welcome to our Monday Montage Blog Hop! I am so amazed that this is our 140th blog hop! It is so much fun hopping with these talented ladies. We are so glad you are here and we hope you enjoy the projects we have to share with you today!

Are you all excited for the new Annual Catalog to go live?!! I am loving the products in the new catalog. And today I am sharing a bookmark that I made with one of my very favorite suites in the new catalog-the Bird Ballad Suite! This amazing suite is featured on pages 90-92 of the new Annual Catalog!

I made a bunch of these bookmarks to go with the catalogs that I gave to the ladies at my last card class. The bookmarks came together fairly quickly because I cut the bird and flower images out of one of the sheets in the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP). This DSP is gorgeous! I love all of the colors and the beautiful birds and flowers! And the Stitched Nested Labels Dies are a must have! They are so versatile and I love how you can layer them! I also cut the bottom of the bookmark with one of the dies using the partial die cutting technique so that it would echo the lines of the other diecut cardstock pieces. Then I added Wink of Stella (of course!!) to all of the flowers to add some sparkle. Here are some close ups:

And here is a photo of some of the catalogs and bookmarks all ready to go for ladies at my last class!

Monday Montage Week #139

It's Monday Montage time! And I'm so happy you're hopping with us today! I have my masculine card class coming up this week, so I've been making cards that can be used for Fathers Day or a masculine birthday/thinking of you card. And these cards feature two techniques that are so fun!

The first technique is oh, so cool! I just knew all those gears in the Geared Up Garage bundle needed to be rusty and old and amazing! so I searched Pinterest and found a faux rust tutorial by Kim Fee! It is so fun! And it is incredible that Crumb Cake Cardstock can look like rusty metal!!! I didn't do as many layers of ink and clear embossing powder as Kim suggests in her tutorial, but I love the results just the same!! Here is a closer look at the first card:

Sooo, I went a little crazy with the faux rust (because I love it so much) and decided to try the floating frame technique. Have you seen this technique? It is so fun and has quite the "wow factor". And you get to make two cards at once which makes the effort even more worth it! Also, there is a very unexpected household item that makes the floating frame technique so easy.....Glad Press 'n Seal!! And this technique requires a lot of dimensionals!

Here is the second card that I made with the cut out piece from the first card. This one came together in a snap!!!

And just for fun, here is a close up of the amazing "rusty" gears.
