Monday Montage Week #136

We are back for another round of Monday Montage!! We are so glad you are joining us that for our hop! I am up in Idaho st a snowy cabin for Spring Break-ironic, right?!! Although we are having a great time, I'm soooo ready for Spring! So here is my bright, flowery mother's day card to bring a little spring to this wintry day!

These images from the Humming Along Stamp Set are perfect for coloring! I used Stampin' Blends to get these vibrant, happy colors! I actually looked up pictures of humming birds and hibiscus flowers to find the perfect Blends for this card. Adding Wink of Stella to the humming bird gave it just the right amount of shimmer and the sequins were the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm sure you don't want to miss out on any of the projects my friends have for you  so keep on hopping! April Paper Pumpkin is Distinkive!

Good morning!
Stampin' Up! has given us a couple of hints about the April Paper Pumkin kit that I wanted to pass along to you!
The first hint is that the April kit will include Distinktive stamps! In case you're wondering, here is  a little more info from Stampin' Up! about Distinktive stamps and why they are awesome!!
  1. Distinktive stamps give you photo-realistic images with just one stamp. They have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step.
  2. These stamps are available only from Stampin’ Up! and are made using a patent-pending process.
  3. Distinktive stamps are available in red rubber and photopolymer; Paper Pumpkin’s April kit includes photopolymer stamps.
  4. Shop Distinktive stamps in the online store by searching “Distinktive,” or look for the Distinktive icon in Stampin’ Up! catalogs.
Watch our video to learn more about Distinktive stamps.
And here are a few more hints about the April Paper Pumpkin kit:
  • Makes 9 cards (3 cards of 3 designs)
  • Includes an adorable gift box—in addition to your 9 cards
  • Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Gray Granite, Mint Macron, and So Saffron.
I am really excited about this kit! It comes with everything you need (except adhesive) to make 9 cards and a gift box-that is a great value and I am sure the images are going to be beautiful!!

If you would like to subscribe, here is my personalized link that will take you right where you need to go:

Monday Montage Week #135

Hello and welcome to Monday Montage! We are so happy that you are here today!  What is the weather like where you live? Here in Utah it is snowing one minute, and sunny the next! It is so hard to figure out what to wear each day-I am so ready for Spring to be here to stay! And my Spring Card Class is this coming week, so I finally got out my Treat Time Stamp Set and Petite Treat Framelits out to make some very Spring themed party favors for my guests!

So, first of all, why did I wait so long to play with these fabulous products?!?! The dies are so fun to use and you can make three different styles of "sour cream" style containers that are perfect for little treats! If you haven't seen this die set before, go take a look (page #219 in the Annual Catalog)! The base of each treat container is the same, but you can switch out the tops for three different looks! A label die comes in the set as well that is perfectly sized to cut the great sentiments that are included in the Treat Time Stamp Set. Also, DSP works a lot better than cardstock with these dies. I did have great success with cardstock for the tops of the containers.

This is the first one I made, using the rounded top die.

I also used the Bontanical Butterfly DSP for the first two projects which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order (before tax and shipping) until March 31st, 2019! Oh, and by the way, if you order the Treat Time Stamp Set (#146626-clear mount $18) and the Petite Treats Framelits (#146827 $33), your product total will come to $51.00 (before tax and shipping)! And you will qualify to get the Botanical Butterfly DSP (#149622) free!!

Here is the next treat holder, featuring the heart shape top, and again I used the Botanical Butterfly DSP. I cut out one of the butterflies from the DSP to sit next to my little daisy-so fun, right?

And last of all is my bonus "carrot" treat container. It's a bonus project because I used retired DSP. But, you can use any orange DSP to make these super cute carrots. Also, I got the inspiration for this project in the 2019 Occasions Catalog on page 31.

Monday Montage Week #134

Happy Monday Montage to all of you joining us for this week's hop! Today I have a Mother's Day card to share with you. I know, I know. It's pretty early for a Mother's Day card! Especially because today it was snowing outside where I live. But, this card could be used for many different occasions! And it features such a cute stamp set and framelits! And the best part is, you can get the framelits free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration!

Here is a close up of the water colored flowers:

I really enjoyed the watercoloring on this project! I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Then I used the heat tool to dry the ink. I squeezed the ink pads while they were still closed to create a puddle of ink on the lid of the pad, then used an aqua painter to apply the watered down ink. I used the heat tool to dry the paper in between each layer of water color. This helped to keep the paper from getting too wet in between each application. I love how it turned out!

Monday Montage Week #133

Hello and welcome! We are so happy to have you with us for our Monday Montage Blog Hop! I still haven't shared all of my Valentine cards with you, so please bear with me while a share another one, even though Valentine's Day is over!

I made this card for my oldest daughter. She is moving to Australia in a couple of months to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  The Animal Outing was perfect for her card because of the little kangaroo and koala! I actually cut it out of the Animal Expedition DSP with the Animal Friends Framelits-I love it when the DSP is sized so that the images can be cut out with the framelits!!

And I almost gave up and didn't make her card. I was running out of time and I thought for half a minute that maybe I would just give her the gift without the card...but...it is my tradition to give my kids and husband handmade cards for Valentine's Day, so I did it. And I finished the cards just in the nick of time! I am so glad I did! This is the post that my daughter put on her instagram:

Yay! It made my day!!

Monday Montage Week #132

Welcome to our Monday Montage Blog Hop! We are so excited to have some new people joining our hop!! Please welcome Cheryl Curtis and Charlot Mallett! I know you'll love their fabulous projects!
Now it's officially February, and I am in full Valentine mode! I have decorated my house and made another Valentine card to share with you! Have a look!

I Love this card! I love the elegance the die cut flowers give this card, and it's easy to do with the Forever Lovely stamp set and the coordinating Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies! Using the Stamparatus makes lining everything up a breeze! Here's some close-ups of the detail that you can get with these coordinating products!

And for this card I used a little different layout! The base card and the first layer are flat, and then I did a trifold layer of whisper white on top that opens up. Here's a photo of the inside of my card! Plenty of room to write a love note!

You're the Best stamp set for the focal point with the die cut hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits and sponged over the hearts with a little Crumb Cake Ink. Then I layered it on top of the Wood Textures DSP. And Voila!! My  hubby's card is ready to go!
